The Social Development Directorates of the
Randfontein Local Municipality and West Rand District Municipality
donated much needed winter sheets to the Mohlakeng Old Age Home on the
25 May 2007.
The Old Age centre is a home to 26 pensioners. There were smiles all
round as the Members of Mayoral Committees from Randfontein Municipality
& West Rand District Municipality, Councillor Thembi Matuwane &
Councillor Dorah Nondzaba donated the sheets.
The initiative is part of the consistent social responsibility programme
of Local Government in the West Rand. It is further a positive response
to the Ice Cold weather that has gripped the country.
CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH:

The Randfontein Local Municipality in
collaboration with the National Cancer Association of South Africa will
embark on a campaign for two days, the 10-11 September 2007.
PAP SMEARS will be done at the following
