potholes are not only the concern but a nightmare. the potholes on the lower main reef next to old mine offices are hazardous to motorist and can damage one’s vehicle if drove you through it more espicially people you do not live around randfontein cause they are not aware of such danger.the the other thing bothering road users in randfontein is flooding of street. i will also like to appluade the municipality on the rehabilitation of the upper main reef road which is now making the life of road users more easier.

Pelzvale roads a major hazard. Due to continuous water running down the tarred road the road has been caved out and some places only one car can drive safely on the road. Potholes are present on every single tarred road in Pelzvale. Congratulations on repairing the main road in town but is the Pelzvale residents forgotten? Please, we appeal for your urgent attention to these roads.

Potholes are becoming more and more life threatening exspecially in Randfontein. it’s also high risk causing severe car damages. please fix asap exspecially the potholes situated next to the main road by Stubbs/Engen garage. Those potholes is becoming more and more and the council is doing nothing about it instead fixing roads in Toekomsrus where there was nothing wrong with it.The council should use their time and money on something more constructive. My car’s Tyres i had to replace the front ones for the 2x time now, and again the front tyre has got a bubble because of dodging one pothole into another and where i bought the tyres they dont want to replace it because they said its not a tyre manufacturing fault. Please help. One other thing that’s also a concern is those long grass at Sweet Valley its going to cause serious accidents. You have to drive halfway in the road before you can see if there is no cars approaching in all directions

ts nice to know the municipality acknowleges the problem and is doing something about it. All I want is for them not to give first preference to the rich neighborhoods.

The potholes are a big problem in Randfontein. But so are the states of all our roads. I wonder what would happen if everyone whose vehicle was damaged as a result of the awful badly repaired potholes started claiming directly for the cost of the damages from the Municipality – which they are legally able to do. We pay expensive licence fees every year, we pay rates and taxes, but our roads are worse than a sand road, the pavements have the grass growing as high as ever. I urge everyone in Randfontein, to take a stand against the general state of our town. Our roads are a dangerous road hazard – and who fits the bill if there is an accident caused as a result of this ongoing problem. A last thought – why are large heavy trucks permitted to ride roads which cannot support such heavy vehicles??
